Here’s my latest podcast. It’s a tribute to the life of the Reverend Canon Malcolm Boyd on what would have been his 92nd birthday, June 8, 2015.
“Summertime” by Louie Armstrong and Miles Davis is playing in the background. The song was one of Malcolm’s favorites.
Anglican Rosaries make great gifts IF… the people you give them to know how to use them! Visit WeekByWeekBeads to learn all kinds of creative prayer and meditation ideas.
Thank you for visiting Week by Week Beads!
Week By Week Beads is for anyone looking to be led to contemplative silence through meditation and prayer using the Anglican Rosary. The Anglican Rosary has also been referred to as the Episcopal rosary, Episcopal prayer beads, Anglican prayer beads, Protestant prayer beads, Methodist prayer beads, Lutheran prayer beads.
When I was in seminary, at the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin Texas, I had the pleasure of meeting a group of people who lived in an intentional community in Telephone, Texas who developed the set of prayer beads originally known as the Anglican Rosary. They used this set of beads as an entrance into contemplative prayer.
If you prefer not to be defined by a particular faith background but enjoy this set of beads as a part of your prayer/meditation practice, feel free to call your set of beads your “Week By Week Beads.”
I will also be selling pre-designed and custom made Anglican rosaries here at WeekbyWeekBeads.com. Please also find me on Facebook!
